Shiitake is a fungus that has been cultivated by men the longest. In Chinese medicine, but not only, its health qualities have been used since time immemorial. Shiitake has scientifically proven bactericidal and anticancer properties. The mushroom is worth introducing in our diet also thanks to its flavour and aroma. Pieces of fresh mushrooms may be fried or grilled. They are also a tasty addition to soups and salads and the caps are deliciouos breaded and fried.
